President’s Report

Is it really Spring? The days are longer and I am sure your jobs have a new sense of enthusiasm that good weather brings. Good luck as you move on to new opportunities.

I hope you enjoyed last month’s speaker as much as I did. Albert Eccles, the Director of Safety and Training for EPRO spoke to us. He asked the question. Are your employees really getting the training they need? He reminded us that all employers are required to follow the OSHA General Duty Clause. He asked does each employee receive training on the recognized hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm. That is certainly good advice as we move into a busy season.

Remember to pick up some “Free Dinner” cards to be handed out to potential members. Extra cards will be available at every meeting. Please feel free to take some and hand them to anyone who has an interest in our organization. Get the word out. Our organization is a wonderful chance to network and meet others who share the same issues that you meet on a daily basis. Bring a guest!

Our next meeting is coming up quickly and will be Tuesday the 9th of April at the Timbuktu Restaurant in Hanover. See you there.

Sincerely,
Brian Pickett

Vice President’s Report

Our presenter for April 9th is Joe Long from Old World Industries.

The presentation will be about Antifreeze.

There is no spotlight speaker this month. The spotlight is open to any members that are current. It is a 5 minute open floor at the beginning of the meeting to tell everyone about the company you work for and a little about yourself. We enjoy hearing about everyone so if you are interested please let us know.

Keep in mind our web site. We typically update and post board and chair contacts as well as adding important presentation information.  The web site is there for us all to use as a tool. The presentation tab on the top of the web page is were this information can be found.
