President’s Report
MAEMA had a busy May. We had a great meeting where the Skill’s First award winners, our Scholarship winner and their parents attended. It was great to see their enthusiasm for the trade. Jake Kepich did a great job introducing them.

The following evening, I was privileged to represent MAEMA at the Center of Applied Technology North Student Recognition Program. I was in awe of all the student accomplishments and what a great job the school does. Thank you for the opportunity. The future does look great for our youth.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, June 11th at Timbuktu. Please make an effort to attend since MAEMA will be taking a Summer meeting break in July and August.  We will reconvene on September 10th.

Have a Safe and enjoyable Summer. See you Tuesday!

Sincerely,
Brian Pickett

Vice President’s Report
Our presenter for June 11th  will be John Vontran from the Maryland Dept. of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Everyone says get an Intern, get prospective employees when they are young. John will be able to tell us what an intern can actually do in our industry. He is to bring information in reference to grant funding and the apprenticeship program in general.

Our vendor spotlight will be Andy Hughes from the Hews Company.

The spotlight is open to any members that are current. It is a 5 minute open floor at the beginning of the meeting to tell everyone about the company you work for and a little about yourself. We enjoy hearing about everyone so if you are interested please let us know.

Keep in mind our web site. We typically update and post board and chair contacts as well as adding important presentation information.  The web site is there for us all to use as a tool. The presentation tab on the top of the web page is were this information can be found.
